What do Bauckham, Croy and Augustine Have in Common?

A lot of things, really. For example, they are all men. They all also create carbon dioxide, which is useful for plants. But beyond that, and perhaps more relevant, I received books by all of them in the mail today.

The largest of the three, Jesus and the Eyewitnesses, is the one I am most excited about. I’ve started reading it. So far the first ten pages have been fascinating :)

I keep hearing good things about Croy’s A Primer of Biblical Greek so I decided to go ahead and buy it. Always looking for good ideas on how to teach Greek better.

I also now have a new copy of Augustine’s On Christian Doctrine. A few fellas at church and I will be meeting to read through it. I have an older edition but decided to buy this one so we could all be working out of the same edition.

But I have to hold back on my book buying. SBL is less than a month away! I have to save up my money so I can go hog wild in the book display. Can’t wait!

I’ve been wanting to pick up Jesus and the Eyewitnesses for a while now. Maybe I’ll get it for Christmas if I’m good enough. Let us know what you think as you go through it!
