Bachelor for a Week
It happens once a year or so and it’s fun for a little while. What is it? It is bachelor week here at the Sowell household. The fam packed up today and headed to my mom’s house so she can have them for a week. In the meantime, I stay here and attempt to live without them. It’s fun until I forget that I don’t know how to do a lot of stuff around the house anymore :)
So what will I do with my time? Well, I am going to try to avoid video games. I’ve done that before during my bachelor week and it tends to just suck up all the time and nothing gets done. So I think I’ll watch some movies that Kat doesn’t want to watch and get some fun studying, reading, and work done.
On Friday night I started reinstalling my Win XP machine. It wasn’t running slow or anything like that (I like to think I keep it pretty tidy and relatively virus free). I just wanted to clear off some CTP and Beta junk that was sitting around that was interfering with some development and wanted to upgrade to Office 2007 (I really like the new Word). Now it’s done. Yay! Back to work.

I always find it kind of a surreal experience. It’s fun for a few days, but eventually I really start to miss my family. Don’t do anything too crazy or extreme. For some odd reason I usually end up shaving my head when my family is away. I’m not really sure why. : )

Yeah, I’m going to try and not go too crazy. I’ve hacked it before, so I suppose I can do it again.
And I definitely won’t be shaving my head!
